What is Seder?

Seder is a big Jewish feast that includes singing, drinking, and (of course) lots of eating! There are a few rules when it comes to the food you can serve during Seder. For example, anything with flour (great for gluten-free folks!), grains, pork, or shellfish is off-limits.

Get inspired by the recipes below and don't forget to save them to your profile by adding them to your SideChef cookbooks!

Apple Beet Charoset

What Jew Wanna Eat

This easy salad can be eaten on top of yogurt or matzah or just on its own. The candied walnuts are a fun addition, and if you've never made your own before, you're about to find out just how easy they are. Just be careful of the staining powers of beets!

Peace, Love, Matzah

We all love anything bite-sized and these little Caprese Bites are no exception. Made using cottage cheese, cream cheese, and mozzarella, they come together in no time and make the perfect appetizers.

A Family Favorite

PEANUT-FREETREE NUT-FREE

Homestyle Pot Roast

Garlic & Zest

This family-style Pot Roast is perfect for the crowds that gather on the Seder holiday. It's a slow cook meal, so it's best to get it started in the morning to guarantee that it will be ready when the festivities begin.

Chic, Peas!

EASYLOW-FAT

Beet Hummus

Ful-Filled

If you're looking for another way to use beets, then try this delicious Beet Hummus. Not only is it so beautiful to look at, but it also tastes amazing. If you're feeling extra fancy, sprinkle some feta on top just before serving.

Perfectly Dipped

EASYLOW-FAT

Coconut Macaroons

Once Upon A Chef

Honestly, the combination of chocolate and coconut could rival chocolate and peanut butter. These cookies are pretty foolproof and can easily be made the day before and kept in the fridge in an airtight container. You'll need to whip up some egg whites for this recipe, so make sure to use a super clean bowl before you start whipping! Egg whites will find any excuse not to fluff up.
