Step 1
Gather your
Pork Shoulder (1.4 kg)
,
Salt (35 g)
, and liquid smoke.
Step 2
Make 1/4 inch cuts into your pork all over. Then rub the pork with 2 tablespoons of salt.
Step 3
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Step 4
Place pork in a roasting pan or large saucepan with 2 to 4 cups of water and
Liquid Smoke (30 mL)
. Use just enough water to cover pork 1/2 way. Roast until pork is easily pulled apart with a fork, around 4 hours.
Step 5
Serve with
White Rice (to taste)
or with
Poi (to taste)
and
Lau Lau (to taste)
