Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Step 2
Sift together Whole Wheat Flour (1/2 cup) , Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (1/2 cup) , Baking Soda (1/2 tsp) , and Salt (1 pinch) , then stir in the Walnut Pieces (1 handful) and Dark Chocolate Chips (1/2 cup) . Reserve.
Step 3
In a large bowl, whisk together Butter (1/3 cup) , Egg (1) , Thick Yogurt (3 Tbsp) , Milk (1/2 cup) , Cream (1/4 cup) , Brown Sugar (1/2 cup) until smooth. Fold in the dry mix until just mixed.
Step 4
Transfer to an 8-inch round baking tin. Scatter walnuts and chocolate chips over.
Step 5
Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes (it’ll still be slightly jiggly in the center). Don’t overbake it.
Step 6
Allow the cake to rest for 10-15 minutes.
Step 7
Serve warm with ice cream, perhaps a drizzle of caramel syrup, and toasted walnut halves. Enjoy!
