Author's Notes

Store in airtight containers or mason jars at room temperature. Enjoy poured on oatmeal, smoothies, or as an afternoon snack! For a deeper orange flavor, I used Theo Orange Dark Chocolate.

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven at 400 degrees F (205 degrees C).
Step 2
Roughly chop the Dates (1/2 cup) and Dark Chocolate (1/4 cup) .
Step 3
In a large bowl, mash the Banana (1) with a fork and add Maple Syrup (1/2 cup) , Coconut Oil (1/4 cup) , Orange Extract (1/2 Tbsp) , Vanilla Extract (1/2 tsp) , Ground Cinnamon (1/2 tsp) , Salt (1/4 tsp) , and Cacao Powder (3 Tbsp) . Mix well.
Step 4
To the same bowl, add the Old Fashioned Rolled Oats (3 cups) , Hazelnuts (1/2 cup) , Sunflower Seeds (1/3 cup) , Dates, and Brown Sugar (2 Tbsp) . Mix well.
Step 5
Lightly grease a baking dish with coconut oil, pour the mixture, and spread evenly.
Step 6
Cook in the oven for 30 minutes. Stir halfway until browned.
Step 7
Let it cool completely before adding the Unsweetened Shredded Coconut (1/4 cup) and dark chocolate pieces.
