Vegetable Pasties are classic savoury pastries that are very easy to make. A mixture of seasonal vegetables are chopped and gently sautéed then enveloped in a flaky pastry casing. Serve hot or cold with a side salad for a delicious meal - give it a go!

Medium Carrots , peeled, chopped

Step 1
Put Olive Oil (to taste) and Butter (to taste) into a sauce pan. Add Yellow Onion (1) , Stock Cube (1) , Frozen Green Peas (1/2 cup) , Carrots (4) and Potatoes (2) . Stir together and cook over medium heat for about four minutes. Afterwards, take them off the heat and allow them to cool.
Step 2
Use a plate to cut circles into Puff Pastry (4 sheets) . Make four circles.
Step 3
Divide the vegetable mixture between the four circles. Pin your finger in some water and run it along the edge of the pastry. Afterwards, fold the pastry over and use a fork to press the edges together.
Step 4
Put the pastries on a tray lined with non-stick baking paper. Put them in the oven preheated to 200 degrees C for 25 minutes. Allow them to cool for 10 minutes, then serve.
