Spicy Thai Basil Chicken

Thai Basil Chicken is a classic Thai stir-fry where the amazing aroma of basil pairs so well with the savory sauce. Serve over steamed jasmine rice and top with a fried egg for the ultimate Thai comfort food; all ready in less than 20 minutes!

1 tablespoon Oyster Sauce
2 teaspoon Soy Sauce
2 teaspoon Dark Soy Sauce
2 tablespoon Palm Sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon Fish Sauce
2 tablespoon Cooking Oil
1 thinly sliced Small Shallot
2 sliced Thai Chili Pepper

STEP 1
Prepare the sauce by combining Oyster Sauce (1 tablespoon), Soy Sauce (2 teaspoon), Dark Soy Sauce (2 teaspoon), Palm Sugar (2 tablespoon) and Fish Sauce (1 1/2 teaspoon). Set aside.
STEP 2
Thinly slice Shallot (1).
STEP 3
Mince the Garlic (3 clove).
STEP 4
Heat Cooking Oil (2 tablespoon) in a wok over medium-high heat. Saute garlic and sliced shallot until garlic is slightly brown on the edges.
STEP 5
Add the Ground Chicken (1 pound) to the wok and stir-fry until fully cooked (about 4 - 5 minutes).
STEP 6
Stir in the sauce and toss until well combined.
STEP 7
Add the Fresh Thai Basil Leaves (1 cup) and stir-fry until the leaves have wilted. Remove from heat.
STEP 8
Fry the Egg (4).
STEP 9
Slice the Thai Chili Pepper (2).
STEP 10
Transfer the chicken to a bowl. Top servings with sliced Thai bird chili and fried egg. Jasmine rice also goes great with this dish!
