Author's Notes

*One serving has 10 calories and 2 grams of sugar per serving compared to the full sugar-sweetened serving which have 60 calories and 15 grams of sugar.

Optional:

- When using simple syrup after storage, if crystals form, heat for 30-60 seconds in the microwave before use.

- Garnish with a slice of lemon.

- Make it into a Cocktail; Combine lemon juice, simple syrup, grenadine, and bitters, and 2oz Vodka, in a shaker with ice and shake until cold. Strain into glass and top off with 4 oz club soda.

- If you want to make it a little more purple in color add a teeny bit of blue food coloring, not even a full drop, just a tiny bit on the end of a pick.

To make the lavender simple syrup, add Water (1/2 cup), Truvia® Original Calorie-Free Sweetener from the Stevia Leaf Spoonable (3 Tbsp), and Dried Lavender (1 Tbsp) into a small saucepan.

Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.

Turn off heat and let cool in pan.

Strain into a clean sealable jar/bottle for future use, store in refrigerator.

To make the mocktail, combine the Lemon Juice (1/4 cup), Simple Syrup, Grenadine Syrup (1/4 tsp), and Bitters (3 dashes) in a shaker with ice and shake until cold.

Strain into a glass and top off with 6 oz Club Soda (6 fl oz).
