Step 1
In a blender, puree
Fresh Strawberries (455 g)
with
Water (30 mL)
.
Step 2
Pour strawberry puree into a small saucepan. Add
Water (45 mL)
,
Granulated Sugar (200 g)
, juice from
Lemon (1)
and heat over medium heat. Stir well to combine.
Step 3
On a cutting board or in a small bowl, gently mash and bruise the
Fresh Mint Leaves (10 g)
to release their flavor. Stir into the strawberry mixture, reduce heat to low and simmer 10 minutes.
Step 4
Strain the strawberry mint mixture and discard the solids. Let syrup cool.
Step 5
For each drink, fill an 8-ounce glass with crushed
Ice (as needed)
and
Lemons (1 slice)
. Over the ice, spoon 2 to 4 tablespoons of the strawberry mint syrup, depending on how sweet you want it. Pour in each glass about 1.5 fl oz of
BACARDÍ® Superior Rum (355 mL)
over the strawberry and ice. Fill to the top with
Club Soda (710 mL)
.
Step 6
Stir gently, and serve with a
Fresh Mint (to taste)
sprig and a straw. Enjoy!
