Step 1
Heat pan over medium heat for 2 minutes.
Step 2
Drizzle
Rib Eye Steak (1)
with
Extra-Virgin Olive Oil (10 mL)

Season with
Salt (to taste)
and
Ground Black Pepper (to taste)

Step 4
Flip steak and repeat. Drizzle
Extra-Virgin Olive Oil (5 mL)
and season with salt and pepper.
Step 5
Place steak in hot pan, and sear on side one for 6 minutes.
Step 6
Flip steak and sear for another 4 minutes for a medium temperature (for a one inch/two and half centimeter steak).
Step 7
To finish off steak, place
Unsalted Butter (15 g)
in the pan, and let melt.
Step 8
Baste steak by spooning the hot butter over the steak.
Step 9
Remove steak from pan and let rest for at least 2 minutes.
Step 10
Top steak with a compound butter or your favorite sauce. Serve and enjoy!
