Place a medium saucepan on the stovetop on medium heat. Bring the Whole Milk (600 mL) to a simmer.

Slowly add Granulated Sugar (4 Tbsp), Brown Sugar (110 g) and Vanilla Extract (2 tsp) to milk, constantly stirring the whole time.

Add Vanilla Bean Pod (1) and Butter (3 Tbsp).

Whisk together the 1 Tbsp of water and the Corn Starch (3 Tbsp), then add to the saucepan while continuing to stir. The mixture should start thickening. When it sticks to the back of the spoon remove from heat. Remove the vanilla bean.
