Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Step 2
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt
Butter (240 g)
until brown and nutty.
Step 3
In a standing mixer, cream browned butter,
Brown Sugar (220 g)

Granulated Sugar (100 g)
,
Salt (6 g)
, and
Vanilla Extract (10 mL)
.
Step 4
Add the
Eggs (2)
one at a time, and scrape down the sides.
Step 5
Add the
All-Purpose Flour (375 g)
and
Baking Soda (2 g)
, and mix on med/low for 30 seconds.
Step 6
Add the
Candied Pecans (180 g)
and
Dark Chocolate Chips (435 g)
, and mix just until incorporated.
Step 7
Scoop dough with a small cookie scoop and place 2 inches apart on baking sheets lined with a Silpat mat or parchment paper.
Step 8
Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes, one baking sheet at a time. Remove from oven and sprinkle with
Sea Salt Flakes (to taste)
