Taco Seasoning

We love taco seasoning, but those little packets are often loaded with sodium. Our fix? Make your own! And now you never need to worry about running out of taco seasoning for some impromptu Tex-Mex. Just make a big batch and it will keep for months. Don’t just limit yourself to ground beef either, taco seasoning is great on chicken, too!

Smoked Paprika

Simply Organic Garlic Powder

Cooking Instructions

In a small bowl or jar, add Chili Powder (2 Tbsp) , Ground Cumin (1 Tbsp) , Smoked Paprika (1 tsp) , Simply Organic Garlic Powder (1 tsp) , Fine Salt (1 tsp) , Freshly Ground Black Pepper (1 tsp) , Dried Oregano (1/2 tsp) , Simply Organic Onion Powder (1/2 tsp) , Granulated Sugar (1/2 tsp) , and Cayenne Pepper (1/2 tsp) and mix until combined. Store in an airtight container.

Author's Notes

For extra saucy ground beef taco meat, mix in 1 tsp of cornstarch to every 2 Tbsp of the mix before you add it to the browned ground beef. Add the mix and stir to coat the meat, then add ¼ cup water and cook until thickened and saucy.

Will keep for up to 6 months in an airtight container stored in a cool dark place.
