Orange Basil Salad with Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette is healthy and a welcomed change to run of the mill garden salads. The basil balances out the orange and boots the Romaine Lettuce.

Fresh Basil Leaves

Romaine Lettuce

•

Mandarin Orange

or Any kind of orange

Small Red Onion

•

1/2 cup

Feta Cheese

•

2 Tbsp

Balsamic Vinegar

•

2 tsp

Honey

•

4 Tbsp

Olive Oil

•

to taste

Salt

•

to taste

Ground Black Pepper

Cooking Instructions

Add Honey (2 tsp) , Olive Oil (4 Tbsp) , Salt (to taste) and Ground Black Pepper (to taste) to a small mixing bowl. Mix until it’s nicely combined.

Add Balsamic Vinegar (2 Tbsp) and mix well to make vinaigrette. Taste and adjust seasoning if desired.

Separate the leaves from the Romaine Lettuce (1 head) . First, slice them vertically and then chop it up. Place in a large bowl.

Peel and slice the Red Onion (1/2) .

Peel and separate the Mandarin Orange (1) into wedges.

Finely chop the Fresh Basil Leaves (4) .

Layer the mandarin orange and red onion over the romaine lettuce.

Crumble the Feta Cheese (1/2 cup) over the salad and drizzle the vinaigrette on top.

Serve and enjoy your Orange Basil Salad with honey Balsamic Vinaigrette.
