To celebrate the new veggie trend, I thought a brussel casserole would do the trick. Plus, you can’t eat your veggies without bacon and cheese that would be wrong, so very wrong.

Wright® Brand Smoked Bacon
Half and Half
Ground Black Pepper
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Slice the brussels sprouts to make 3 cups. Dice the
Wright® Brand Smoked Bacon (3 pieces)
In a large skillet, melt
Unsalted Butter (3 Tbsp)
and add the bacon. Crisp the bacon for about 5 minutes.
Add the sliced
Brussels Sprouts (3 cups)
with a little
Salt (to taste)
Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
and continue to cook until softened; about 5 minutes.
All-Purpose Flour (1 1/2 Tbsp)
, stir, and cook for another minute.
Gradually add the
Cream (3/4 cup)
Half and Half (1/2 cup)
. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for another five minutes.
Remove skillet from heat, and stir in
Mozzarella Cheese (1/2 cup)
Pour the brussels sprout mixture into the baking dish and sprinkle top with
Gorgonzola Cheese (1/2 cup)
. Bake for about 25 minutes and with a few minutes left turn the broiler on to get a nice golden cheesy crust on top.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
