Back to basics with Brown Mushroom and Onion Gravy. If you don’t like mushrooms you could leave them out and you’ll have basic brown gravy. This perfect Mushroom Gravy recipe is absolutely delicious and simple to make.

Baby Bella Mushrooms

or Any Mushroom of Choice

Ground Black Pepper
Cooking Instructions
1.
In a sauce pot, add Butter (1/3 cup) and All-Purpose Flour (1/3 cup) and stir continuously to make a rue for 5-7 minutes. If you find your rue to be a bit dry, you can add some more butter or oil.

Continue to stir until browned. Add in the Vegetable Stock (2 cups) and whisk to thoroughly dissolve.

Add in the Onion (1) and Baby Bella Mushrooms (1 1/2 cups). Season with Salt (to taste) and Ground Black Pepper (to taste). Give everything a stir and bring to a boil. Turn down to medium heat and cook covered for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally, then your gravy is ready.
4.
Serve with biscuits for classic Biscuits and Gravy, over some delicious mashed potatoes, or however else you'd like!
