Maple Syrup Dumplings are an old fashioned baked dessert that are very easy to prepare. Dumplings are made out of flour, butter, milk and eggs, then smothered in a rich, maple flavoured syrup. Baked until golden and puffed, serve the dumplings with cream or ice cream - give it a go!

Cooking Instructions

Into a mixing bowl, add and mix the Self-Rising Flour (1 cup), and Butter (2 Tbsp). Then add in the Salt (1 pinch), Milk (4 Tbsp), and Eggland's Best Classic Egg (1), and combine everything together.

Roughly divide your dough into 15 dumplings, and line them up on a greased baking tray.

Into a sauce pan, add the Caster Sugar (1/2 cup),Maple Syrup (2 Tbsp), and Water (1/2 cup). Combine everything together and bring the mixture to a boil.
4.
Gently pour the syrup over the dumplings. Bake inside a preheated oven under 180 degrees C (350 degrees F) for about 30 minutes.
5.
Serve and enjoy!
