Slow Cooked Lamb Shanks are a perfect way of making a cheap cut of meat tender and delicious. Lamb Shanks are dredged in seasoned flour and pan-fried until brown. The shanks are then slowly braised in a slow cooker / crock pot until tender. Serve the shanks on the bone with mashed potato and vegetables, or strip the meat for salads or wraps - give it a go!

Cooking Instructions

Into a large bowl, mix together the All-Purpose Flour (1 cup), Salt (to taste), and Ground Black Pepper (to taste). Then, roll each Lamb Shanks (4) in the seasoned flour mixture.

In a frying pan with some Olive Oil (as needed), brown the shanks for about 5 minutes on all sides.

In the same pan, simmer the Chicken Stock (2 cups).

Put the shanks in a slow cooker, and add in with some Garlic (2 cloves), Bay Leaves (3), Italian Seasoning (to taste), Salt (to taste), and Ground Black Pepper (to taste). Then pour in the chicken stock, and cook for about 8 hours.
