Cooking Instructions
1.
Smash down the Fresh Blackberries (6 cups) with a potato masher.
2.
Add the Granulated Sugar (5 cups) and juice from the lemon Lemons (2). If you would like to remove the seeds, this is the time to do it by pressing the mixture through a sieve.
3.
In a saucepan, cook over medium heat until the mixture starts to simmer. Keep simmering until reduced by half, or until it has properly thickened. Keep in mind it will thicken more as it cools.
4.
Store the jam in jars. Enjoy!
Author's Notes
I used Marionberries, a type of blackberry with a rich, earthy flavor, both sweet and tart.
