Chow Mein Noodles

Chow Mein is a Classic Chinese dish wherein the noodles are stir fried with vegetables and mildly flavoured with a blend of sauces.

Rice Noodles

Garlic , finely chopped

Snow Peas

Scallions , finely chopped

Cooking Instructions

Marinate chicken: take a large mixing bowl, add Chicken (1.1 lb) , Corn Starch (2 tsp) , Soy Sauce (2 Tbsp) , Sesame Oil (2 tsp) and mix well.

Prepare the sauce: take another mixing bowl and dissolve the Chicken Stock Cube (1) in enough water to do so. Add Caster Sugar (2 tsp) and Oyster Sauce (4 Tbsp) , then mix and set aside.

Boil water in a big sauce pan and add Rice Noodles (1.1 lb) .

Cook for 5 to 8 minutes and drain the water.

Heat Vegetable Oil (1 Tbsp) in a deep bottomed skillet and add Garlic (5 cloves) .

Add chicken and keep frying it till it turns to a pale color. Keep aside.

In the same pan, add Carrot (1) , Zucchini (3) , Bok Choy (2) , and Snow Peas (10) .

Add the prepared sauce and keep stirring until the vegetable is half way cooked.

Add the chicken and noodles and toss them well.

Garnish with Scallions (to taste) .
