Step 1
Heat a large non stick or cast iron skillet over medium heat on the stove. Add
Olive Oil (15 mL)
. Once hot and shimmering, add in the
Yellow Onion (1)
and cook until it is translucent and soft. About 5 minutes.
Step 2
Add in the
Garlic (1 clove)
and cook until fragrant about 30 seconds. Pull off the heat and allow to cool slightly.
Step 3
In a medium bowl, combine the
Ground Turkey (455 g)
,
Fresh Parsley (6 g)
,
Egg (1)
,
Panko Breadcrumbs (50 g)
, and
Grated Parmesan Cheese (25 g)
. Add in
Salt (6 g)
and
Ground Black Pepper (1 g)
. Toss in the onion/garlic mixture and combine with your hands.
Step 4
Shape the mixture into patties and put them on a plate.
Step 5
Heat the skillet over medium heat again with the additional
Olive Oil (15 mL)
. Once hot and shimmering place the patties in the skillet. Cook until browned on both sides. About 6 minutes per side.
Step 6
Pull off the heat and serve on buns with
Red Onions (to taste)

Dill Pickles (to taste)
,
Ketchup (to taste)
,
Mayonnaise (to taste)
,
Yellow Mustard (to taste)
,
Lettuce (to taste)
,
Heirloom Tomatoes (to taste)
