Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Step 2
In a medium bowl, combine the
Unsalted Butter (1 stick)

All-Purpose Flour (95 g)

Brown Sugar (110 g)

Old Fashioned Rolled Oats (45 g)

Walnuts (60 g)
and
Kosher Salt (5 g)
. Using a wooden spoon (or clean hands), mix until well combined. Gently fold in the
Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese (115 g)
, then set aside.
Step 3
Peel, core, and thinly slice all the
Granny Smith Apples (680 g)
and
Fuji Apples (680 g)
and place them in a large bowl.
Step 4
In a small bowl, whisk together the juice from
Lemon (1)
and the remaining
All-Purpose Flour (8 g)
until completely smooth. Add this mixture to the apples, along with
Ground Cinnamon (3 g)
and the remaining
Brown Sugar (55 g)
. Toss well.
Step 5
Transfer the apples to a 9×9-inch square baking dish and spread into an even layer. Crumble the topping mixture evenly on top, covering the entire surface of the apples.
Step 6
Bake for 40-50 minutes until bubbling and golden brown on top.
Step 7
Cool for 10 minutes, then serve with scoops of
Vanilla Ice Cream (to taste)
