Step 1
Gather all ingredients and tools and your favorite glass. And your shaking muscles!
Step 2
Spritz some
Absinthe (2 dashes)
into your tall glass (chilled glass is best!).
Step 3
Pour
Simple Syrup (0.8 fl oz)
, Pour the juice of the
Lemon (1)
, and
ABERFELDY® 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (2 fl oz)
into the shaker tin.
Step 4
Crack
Egg (1)
and carefully separate egg white and add to tin WITHOUT other ingredients.
Step 5
Combine ingredients and shake hard without ice for about 10-20 seconds.
Step 6
Add
Ice (as needed)
to shaker tins (you should see a nice frothy mixer when you crack it open to add ice) and shake EVEN HARDER for about 20-40 seconds.
Step 7
Add
Soda Water (1 fl oz)
to your absinthe-rinsed glass.
Step 8
Crack those tins, apply your strainer and strain chilled contents into your glass. Pout it high for style and also to agitate the mixture.
Step 9
Once the contents are poured out, add
Soda Water (1 fl oz)
to rinse your tin and pour it into your glass - you'll notice a nice merengue forming on the top.
Step 10
Tap the bottom to pop any air bubbles and garnish with a
Maraschino Cherry (1)
. Enjoy!
