Step 1
Measure out
All-Purpose Flour (250 g)
and
Salt (3 g)
and combine in a large mixing bowl.
Step 2
Add
Butter (15 g)
and cut into flour with a pastry knife until well incorporated.
Step 3
Slowly stir in
Water (180 mL)
forming into a dough. Pour contents onto work surface and knead for one to two minutes.
Step 4
Divide dough into four equal balls.
Step 5
Roll each ball into a round tortilla (about 10-12 inch diameter) with a rolling pin.
Step 6
Preheat pan to medium to medium-high heat. Place a tortilla in the heated pan until golden brown on one side (about sixty to ninety seconds). Flip tortilla on other side to brown. Remove tortilla and place on a plate or in a container. Repeat for remaining tortillas.
Step 7
If not using tortillas within the hour, save tortillas in a sealed container in the refrigerator until ready to eat. Re-heat tortillas with a wet paper towel and microwave for 20 to 30 seconds.
