Step 1
Grate
12 Month Reypenaer Gouda (225 g)
and mix with
All-Purpose Flour (8 g)
in a bowl.
Step 2
Cut the
Garlic (1 clove)
in half. Rub 1/2 of garlic over inside of fondue pot. Mince the other 1/2 clove up finely and add to pot.
Step 3
Add
Chardonnay (180 mL)
to the pot and heat slowly, just until the liquid begins to bubble.
Step 4
Slowly add the cheese mixture, whisking as it melts.
Step 5
When smooth, stir in the
Apple Juice (15 mL)
and let cook until reduced slightly.
Step 6
While the fondue is cooking over low heat, dice the
French Bread (1 loaf)
and slice the
Granny Smith Apples (2)
.
Step 7
Serve immediately with bread, apples, and
Crudites (to taste)
if desired.
