Author's Notes

Yields approximately 3 cups chopped Chocolate Chunks. Be sure to use refined coconut oil if you do not want a strong coconut flavor.

Cooking Instructions

Step 1
In a small saute pan, add Refined Coconut Oil (240 mL) and Vanilla Extract (10 mL) . Melt over medium heat, stirring continuously.
Step 2
Once melted, remove from heat and whisk in 1 cup plus 1 Tbsp of Raw Cocoa Powder (125 g) , Maple Syrup (60 mL) , and Sea Salt (as needed) .
Step 3
Keep whisking as the chocolate cools. This is extremely important for making sure the chocolate has a smooth consistency without any graininess.
Step 4
Once the chocolate has cooled, pour out onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Put in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Step 5
Once the chocolate has fully hardened, remove and cut into small chunks. Store in freezer and use in place of chocolate chips!
