Step 1
Your oven does not need preheating, saving you time and reducing energy costs. Let's start! Use the Butter (4 g) to generously grease a baking dish that measures 9x13x2-inches (or equivalent). Be sure to use a dish that is suitable for a microwave.
Step 2
Add the Whipping Cream (180 mL) , Half and Half (300 mL) , Garlic (3 cloves) , and Salt (2 g) in a medium saucepan. Bring the liquid to a boil over medium heat, then decrease the heat to medium-low and simmer for another 20 minutes.
Step 3
Remove the pan from the heat, and set aside.
Step 4
To assemble the gratin, spoon about 1/4 cup of the cream mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Place a layer of Sweet Potatoes (5) , slightly overlapping in the bottom of the dish.
Step 5
Ladle another ¼ cup of the cream over the sweet potatoes, 1/2 Tbsp of Fresh Sage (4 g) , a sprinkle of Dried Thyme (4 g) , Salt (to taste) , and Ground Black Pepper (to taste) , and a tablespoon of Parmesan Cheese (65 g) .
Step 6
Continue the layers until you run out of potatoes. When you get to the last layer, pour the remaining cream over the top, add fresh sage, dried thyme, herbs, salt and pepper, but do not add the final layer of cheese.
Step 7
Put the dish into the oven and then just say 'Alexa, tell cooking challenge to start oven'. The perfect setting will be selected. Don't stress if you are very hungry. The integrated microwave will save up to 50% of the baking time.
Step 8
After 20 minutes, take the gratin out, sprinkle the remaining Parmasan over the top of the potatoes and bake until the signal reminds you for completion. Enjoy your gratin!

The gratin is done when a paring knife is easily inserted into the center. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
