Cooking Instructions

Step 1
Bring Water (960 mL) to a light boil. Add Ground Turmeric (2 g) , Ground Ginger (2 g) , and Ground Black Pepper (1 pinch) and let it boil again, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Simmering will extract the beneficial compounds from the turmeric and ginger.
Step 2
Remove from the stove and let it cool a bit. Then strain the liquid using a mesh strainer or cloth to get rid of excess ginger and spice.
Step 3
Pour the rest of the liquid into a pitcher along with the juice from Lemons (1 1/4) , Lemon Extract (5 mL) if using, Maple Syrup (30 mL) , and Powdered Stevia (to taste) and mix. Garnish with slices of Lemons (to taste) and Fresh Mint Leaves (to taste) . Store in the fridge.
