Step 1
Add Beef Brisket (1 kg) , Dried Basil (15 g) , Ground Cumin (6 g) , Dried Rosemary (10 g) , Worcestershire Sauce (45 mL) , Dried Oregano (10 g) , salt and pepper, the Onions (2) , and Garlic (8 cloves) in a baking tray.
Step 2
Fill tray with water to cover the beef until the beef is almost completely covered.
Step 3
Cover the tray with foil.
Step 4
Place the tray in a preheated oven and cook for 45 to 50 minutes at 150 degrees C (300 degrees F). Cook for an hour per kilogram.
Step 5
Chop the Onion (1) , Green Bell Pepper (1) , Red Bell Pepper (1) . and Garlic (4) . In a hot pan, add the Vegetable Oil (45 mL) and add the chopped vegetables and garlic. Leave to sweat for 5 minutes.
Step 6
Add the pulled beef, Tomato Passata (545 g) , Dried Oregano (10 g) , Ground Cumin (4 g) , Ground Black Pepper (1 g) , McCormick® Garlic Powder (6 g) , Worcestershire Sauce (30 mL) , Water (1 splash) , Bay Leaves (2) , and Salt (9 g) .
Step 7
Mix well and leave to cook for 45 minutes at medium heat.
Step 8
Add a splash of water throughout the cooking should you feel it is getting a little dry.
Step 9
Serve immediately with your favorite side or use it to fill arepas, baguettes or brioche buns. Enjoy!
