Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Place the oven rack in center position. Lightly grease a baking sheet and set aside.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine
All-Purpose Flour (125 g)
with the
Pizza Dough Yeast (1 pckg)
,
Granulated Sugar (4 g)
,
Salt (5 g)
, and
McCormick® Garlic Powder (as needed)
. Stir until well combined.
Step 3
Pour in the
Water (180 mL)
and
Olive Oil (15 mL)
. Stir until the wet and dry ingredients are incorporated. The mixture will be sticky and very wet.
Step 4
Gradually add the remaining
All-Purpose Flour (125 g)
, stirring and working with your hands until the mixture creates a soft dough. Gather the dough and transfer to a floured working surface.
Step 5
Knead the calzone dough with your hands for 3-5 minutes, until the dough is smooth and stretchy.
Step 6
Form into a ball and cover with a warm, damp towel. Let rise for about 20 minutes.
Step 7
Cut dough into four equal pieces. On the floured surface, roll each piece into an 8-inch circle.
Step 8
Top the bottom half of each circle with approximately 1/4 cup of
Pizza Sauce (255 g)
. Then layer on
Deli Ham (225 g)
,
Deli Beef (115 g)
,
Pepperoni Slices (55 g)
, and
Mozzarella Cheese (225 g)
. Leave the outside edge uncovered about half an inch.
Step 9
Pull the top half of the dough over the filling until the top edge meets the bottom edge. Press the two outside edges together, folding and crimping to seal the calzone. Repeat with the other three calzones. Transfer to the prepared baking pan. Cut slits into the top of each calzone.
Step 10
Brush the top of each calzone with the remaining
Olive Oil (15 mL)
. Sprinkle with the
Sea Salt (3 g)
.
Step 11
Bake on the center oven rack for 20 minutes, until the calzones are golden brown. Remove from the oven and transfer to a wire rack to cool.
Step 12
Serve with the reserved
Pizza Sauce (255 g)
and enjoy!
