Author's Notes

If your dates are too dry, soak them in hot water for 2 minutes to re-hydrate. The water level should be just enough to cover the dates.

Fill a saucepan 1/4 of the way up with hot water and place the bowl with Sweet Potatoes (1 1/3 cups) the middle. Cover with the lid and steam until the sweet potato is fully cooked.
Step 2
Turn off heat and check if there is any water inside the bowl, if yes empty it out.
