Limoncello is one of the most famous Italian liqueurs in the universe. Three ingredients make up my Nonna’s family recipe and the flavour explodes like a citrus circus in your mouth.

Pure Grain Alcohol
or Vodka

cups
Water

3 1/2
cups
Granulated Sugar
Cooking Instructions
1.
Peel the Lemons (9), making sure not to get the white pith. Place the skins in a jar with Pure Grain Alcohol (4 cups) and let infuse for up to twenty days.
2.
Bring Water (6 1/4 cups) to a boil and add Granulated Sugar (3 1/2 cups). Cool the water.
3.
Strain the lemon alcohol into the cooled water, making sure to remove all peels.
4.
Add a cup of water to the jar with the skins and swirl. Drain again into the limoncello. Decant into bottles.
5.
Serve and enjoy!
