SIDECHEF SECURES $6 MILLION IN SERIES B FUNDING TO INVEST IN THE FUTURE OF SHOPPABLE RECIPES

New funding by LG Electronics will also lead way to developing smart kitchen tech that will garner the future of cooking at home

SAN JOSE, CA, MARCH 1, 2023 -- SideChef, the all-in-one cooking, grocery shopping, and meal planning app announces a $6 million Series B funding by LG Electronics. Investment from seed, Series A and the latest Series B closing total to more than $16 million from institutional investors including Ideate Ventures, AB Electrolux, Peacock Capital Group, V-ZUG AG, Ilion Capital, Empower Investment, Innolead Investment, LG Technology Ventures, and KZone LLC.

In this next phase, SideChef will be building upon its end-to-end cooking platform by expanding the reach of its technology, by both allowing any recipe on the Internet to be shoppable, from social media posts to media outlets and even newsletters and text messages, and developing core smart kitchen technologies that will make devices truly automatic and “smart.” Our technologies will be made available to empower partners throughout the cooking journey, ranging in the form of features such as Zero Waste Grocer (to save money and reduce food waste), or our dynamic shoppable meal planner, alongside multiple retailer checkout options for customers to compare shopping to make a decision to solve the daily problem of "What's for dinner?"
