To cut down on the sugar, I swap in any natural sweetener that measures cup-for-cup like sugar. I also like to use a light butter in place of regular butter because it doesn't make any difference taste wise for this bourbon loaded beauty.

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (160 degrees C) and place the 9-inch Pie Crust (1) into a pie tin to create your crust; set aside.
Step 2
In a small saucepan combine Granulated Sugar (1/2 cup), Natural Sweetener (1/2 cup), Light Corn Syrup (1 cup), and Light Butter (1/2 cup). Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until butter or margarine melts and sugar dissolves; set aside to cool slightly.
