Cooking Instructions
1.
Lightly grease and line the sides of the baking tin and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
2.
Blitz the Quick Cooking Oats (2 cups) in a food processor until it almost becomes a fine flour.
3.
Tip into a large bowl and mix with the remaining Quick Cooking Oats (1 1/2 cups). Mix in the Ground Cinnamon (1/2 Tbsp), Dried Apples (1 1/4 cups), and Salt (1/4 tsp), and then set to one side.

In a medium saucepan, gently melt together the Brown Sugar (1/2 cup), Unsalted Butter (1/2 cup), and Golden Syrup (1/4 cup) over a medium heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved, then remove from the heat.

Whisk in the Non-Fat Milk (1/4 cup) and Vanilla Extract (1 tsp).
6.
Pour the mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well with a spoon or spatula until all the oats are evenly coated and there are no dry patches left.
7.
Tip it all into the prepared tin and press very firmly with the back of a metal spoon. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the edges have started to turn golden.
8.
Allow to cool completely in the tin before removing & slicing into 9 pieces. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
