Step 1
Peel the Lemon (1) and Orange (1) . Reserve the peels. Add the Milk (6 1/4 cups) , White Rice (3/4 cup) , lemon peel, orange peel, and Cinnamon Stick (1) to a saucepan. Cook over low heat for 45 minutes. Stirring every 5 minutes.
Step 2
This is the appearance it will have after 45 minutes.
Step 3
Add Granulated Sugar (2/3 cup) while stirring. The amount is subjective. If you have a sweet tooth, you can add more sugar.
Step 4
Cook it for 10 more minutes until you have a delicious Arroz con Leche.
Step 5
Distribute rice pudding into eight dessert glasses.
Step 6
You can place plastic wrap over the top surface of the pudding to prevent a crust forming as the pudding cools.
Step 7
Place in the fridge until needed. The flavour improves over time.
Step 8
Serve with Ground Cinnamon (to taste) sprinkled on top. Enjoy this splendid and easy dessert as we do. I hope you like it!
