Author's Notes

The amount of kung pao sauce can vary depending on the brand of the sauce and your preference, so make sure to add half of the amount in the recipe first and adjust accordingly to your preferred flavor. For whole dried red chili pepper can be skipped, if you can access it.

Heat a frying pan or wok with Vegetable Oil (2 Tbsp) over high heat. Once it is hot, add Dry Roasted Peanuts (1/3 cup), Garlic (3 cloves), and Red Chili Peppers (4). Stir for about 30 seconds until the garlic is slightly brown.

Add Red Bell Pepper (1), Yellow Onion (1), and the white part of Scallion (1 bunch). Stir for 2-4 minutes.

Add Medium Shrimp (1 lb) and Kung Pao Sauce (1/4 cup). Stir for 1 minute or until opaque.
step 4
Turn off the heat, add the green part of the green onion and stir to combine.
step 5
Serve with White Rice (to taste) if desired.
