Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a bowl, add
Coconut Oil (1/3 cup)
Unsweetened Apple Sauce (1/2 cup)
Granulated Sugar (1/3 cup)
Brown Sugar (1/3 cup)
Vanilla Extract (1/2 tsp)
In a separate bowl, combine
White Whole Wheat Flour (1 1/4 cups)
Salt (1/2 tsp)
Baking Soda (1/2 tsp)
. Mix with fork.
Add dry ingredients to wet and stir. Mix in
Vegan Chocolate Chips (1/2 pckg)
If the 9x9 pan is dark or non-stick, no need to grease. Line the pan with parchment paper. Spread cookie mixture evenly into pan.
Bake for about 24 minutes, until done. Insert a toothpick to the centre of the mixture, and then pull it out. If the toothpick comes out clean the bars are ready.
