Homemade Lollipops

Homemade Lollipops are surprisingly easy to make and only require a handful of ingredients. I flavored mine with cherry flavoring and glammed them up with some edible glitter!

step 1
Place lollipop sticks in the silicone mold and set them aside.
step 2
In a small saucepan, add Water (3/4 cup), Granulated Sugar (1 1/2 cups), and Corn Syrup (3/4 cup), and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Stir well.
step 3
Cook until the mixture reaches 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). If you don't have a thermometer, keep an eye on the mixture, and after around 15 minutes, drop a little bit of the mixture into a glass of ice water. If it turns hard, it is done, if it's soft, try again in 2-3 minutes. Repeat until the sugar mixture hardens when dropped in cold water.
step 4
Once the mixture hits 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) remove it from the heat immediately and stir in Citric Acid (1/4 tsp), Edible Glitter (to taste), and Cherry Flavoring (1 drop).

step 5
Pour the mixture into a spouted cup for easier pouring. Pour a small amount of the sugar mixture into each lollipop cavity, making sure to completely cover the lollipop stick.

step 6
Decorate with Sprinkles (to taste), if you'd like, and then let the lollipops harden for about 20 minutes before removing them from the molds and wrapping them up!
