Step 1
Add
Cajun Seasoning (2 Tbsp)
to an 11-inch shallow bowl (preferred) or dinner plate. Pat dry your
Mahi-Mahi Fillets (12 oz)
with paper towels and discard the paper towels.
Step 2
Press the Mahi-Mahi into the seasoning, and flip, coating the fish entirely with a thin layer of cajun seasoning on both sides. Wash your hands.
Step 3
Add
Olive Oil (2 Tbsp)
to a cast-iron skillet (preferred) or nonstick pan, and turn the stove on to medium heat to get the oil nice and hot.
Step 4
Once your oil is hot, carefully use tongs or a spatula to place coated Mahi-Mahi into the pan one at a time, leaving about an inch of space in between each fish filet.
Step 5
Cover to avoid hot oil splatter. Cook for about 5 minutes on each side. You'll know your fish is ready to flip if it easily peels off your pan. If it's stuck, let it cook for another minute or so until it releases from the pan.
Step 6
Meanwhile, layer
Tartar Sauce (2 Tbsp)
,
Lettuce Leaves (1 head)
, and
Tomato (1)
on the bottom half of your
Hoagie Rolls (4)
.
Step 7
When your Mahi-Mahi is ready, place it on top of the tomato and cover it with the top half of your roll. Enjoy!
