Step 1
Pat
Whole Turkey (14 lb)
dry inside and out with a paper towel. This step is very important, since hot oil and water create a violent reaction.
Step 2
Into a pot, add
Water (10 fl oz)

Butter (1 stick)
, and
Cajun Marinade (1 pckg)
. Stir together and heat until the mixture is lukewarm.
Step 3
Inject the cajun mixture into the turkey in a series of three straight lines down the back, as well as into the legs.
Step 4
Tuck the wings behind the bird.
Step 5
Preheat oil in deep fryer to 325 degrees F (160 degrees C).
Step 6
Deep fry turkey for 43 minutes, lowering into the oil very slowly.
Step 7
Transfer turkey to cutting board and coat with
Cajun Rub (to taste)

Step 8
Place the turkey in a roasting bag and transfer to a cooler for 30 minutes.
Step 9
Carve turkey, serve, and enjoy!
