Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Grease a long, deep 10x35cm loaf pan with plenty of Olive Oil (as needed) .
Step 2
In a large bowl, mix the Instant Dry Yeast (2 Tbsp) , Water (1 lb) , Caster Sugar (1/2 cup) , Salt (1 pinch) and Olive Oil (2 oz) together. Gradually add Bread Flour (5 3/4 cups) . Using a dough hook or your hands, mix until dough is soft and elastic.
Step 3
Place the dough in the greased loaf pan. Cover with cling wrap and let rise in a warm place. When the dough rises to the level of the cling wrap, remove the cling wrap.
Step 4
Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for an hour.
Step 5
Remove the tin and allow to cool on a rack or a clean surface. Serve and enjoy!
