Author's Notes

Substitute nuts, seeds and dried fruit as desired. Alternatively, use lined muffin cups as molds for chocolate cookie bar rounds.

For holiday chocolate bars, add holiday sprinkles and crushed candy canes, and package with ribbons for holiday gifts.

Alternatively, use good-quality chocolate pellets or wafers for faster preparation.

Substitute dark chocolate with milk chocolate if preferred.

Place chopped Dark Chocolate (2 3/4 cups) in heat-safe bowl set over saucepan of barely simmering water and heat, stirring frequently, for 4 to 6 minutes or until chocolate is smooth and melted.

Top each bar with chopped GOYA® Chocolate Maria Cookie (1/2 pckg), GOYA® Maria Cookie (1/2 pckg), Toasted Almonds (1/2 cup), Unsalted Raw Pumpkin Seeds (4 Tbsp), Sun-Maid Mediterranean Pitted Dried Apricots (4 Tbsp) and Dried Cranberries (4 Tbsp).
