Cooking Instructions

Over medium-high heat add Salt (2 Tbsp) , Apple Cider Vinegar (1/2 cup) , Unsalted Butter (2 Tbsp) , Water (1 cup) , Granulated Sugar (1 Tbsp) , Ketchup (1/2 cup) , Worcestershire Sauce (1 Tbsp) , and Ground Black Pepper (1 pinch) into a small saucepan.

Heat until sauce starts to boil, then remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes.

Pour into a container and use as desired! Makes a great dipping sauce, glaze for grilled meats, sandwich spread, or whatever you want.

Author's Notes

If Grandma’s BBQ sauce is too thin for your taste and you want a deliciously thicker BBQ sauce that won't dribble off your meat, try adding a cornstarch slurry to thicken.
For the cornstarch-based thickener, you should mix 1 Tbsp of cold water and 1 Tbsp of cornstarch and mix well to remove any lumps. Stir into the sauce.
