There aren’t many things that can break me out of my water-all-the-time beverage habit, but the arrival of summer weather is one of them. And lemonade is usually first in line for my liquid-y cravings. Using only a few lemons, you can make perfect, delightful lemonade with hardly any effort at all.

Cooking Instructions
1.
Scrub all Lemons (5) clean, then pat dry with a dry towel or tissues. Use a hand grater or lemon grater to zest the lemons.
2.
Combine Granulated Sugar (3/4 cup), Water (1 cup), and lemon zest in a small pot to make simple syrup. Heat the pot over medium-high heat until mixture starts to simmer and stir until sugar dissolves.
3.
While the simple syrup cools, juice the lemon and strain to remove all the seeds and the pulp.
4.
Combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and simple syrup in a pitcher. Add Water (2 cups) to dilute. If you prefer your lemonade even thinner, add up to one cup more or until to your liking.
5.
Refrigerate for 2-3 hours, then serve over with Ice (to taste) and slices of lemon if you like things pretty. Enjoy!
