Trim the Green Beans (1 handful) and cut any long ones in half. Rinse the beans. Bring a large pan of water to a good boil, add Salt (to taste) and the green beans.

Blanch the green beans in the hot water for 5 minutes. Once cooked enough, remove the green beans using a slotted spoon and immediately refresh them in a bowl of ice cold water. Add the peas to the water you blanched the beans in.
