Cooking Instructions
1.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
2.
Wash, peel, core the Apples (14 1/2 cups). Cut apples into 1-inch chunks.
3.
Cut the Unsalted Butter (3 Tbsp) into 1/4-inch chunks.
4.
Place the apples in a 9x13-inch baking dish. Scatter the Brown Sugar (1/3 cup) and chunks of butter evenly over top.
5.
Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 45 to 50 minutes, tossing once halfway through, until the apples are very tender.
6.
Mash the apples with a potato masher or fork. Taste the apples. If the applesauce is too tart, add more brown sugar little by little until the flavors are balanced
7.
Sprinkle some Simply Organic Cinnamon, Ground (to taste), and enjoy! The applesauce can be frozen in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
