Popcorn is probably one of the most versatile healthy snacks around. When we were simultaneously hit with a chocolate craving and a sweet, cinnamony, crunchy churro craving, popcorn once again came through for us in the form of this simple yet decadent recipe.

Author's Notes

Keep the popcorn in a resealable plastic container for up to 1 week, or until it becomes stale.

Cooking Instructions

HIDE IMAGES
Step 1
Heat Coconut Oil (3 tablespoon) in a medium pot with a lid over medium heat. Add a couple of Popcorn Kernels (1/2 cup) to the oil; when one of the kernels pops, you know the oil is hot enough.
Step 2
Add the remaining kernels, then cover and shake the pot occasionally to prevent burning. Once the popcorn is popped, transfer the popcorn to a large mixing bowl.
Step 3
Spray the popped popcorn with the Nonstick Cooking Spray (to taste) (this will help the seasonings to stick). Using clean hands or a long wooden spoon, toss the popcorn to coat evenly.
Step 4
Sprinkle with Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (1 tablespoon), Ground Cinnamon (1 teaspoon), Granulated Sugar (1 tablespoon), and Sea Salt (1 teaspoon), and mix until the popcorn is coated, then serve.
