Step 1
Combine the
Fresh Strawberries (5 cups)

Granulated Sugar (1/2 cup)

Lemon Juice (2 Tbsp)

Salt (1 pinch)
in a medium pot.
Step 2
Using a potato masher or large fork, roughly mash the fruit.
Step 3
Cook the fruit over a medium heat, allowing it to come to a boil but stirring constantly until the fruit thickens. This should take around 20 minutes.
Step 4
Begin testing to see if the jam is done by placing a small amount of jam on a cold spoon, waiting a few seconds for it to cool and then running your finger through the jam to see if it leaves a clear track. If it does, then the jam is done, if not, continue cooking until done.
Step 5
Carefully pour the strawberry jam into a clean jar, cool, seal, and refrigerate. When it's completely cool and set, serve and enjoy!
