Author's Notes

Tiramisu tastes best, 2 days later in the fridge. Overnight is fine, but if you keep it till the day after next, the flavors among the layers just sync together with every bite.

The gelatin mixture was added to stabilize the cream, helps to set it well, and prevent the fats and liquid from being separated over time.

If you can’t take alcohol, omit the rum, and if you are a vegetarian, simply omit the gelatin mixture.

Cooking Instructions

Step 1
Microwave Gelatin Powder (1 tsp) and Water (1 Tbsp) together in a microwave for about 15 seconds. Let it cool.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, beat Cream Cheese (1/2 cup) , Matcha Powder (1/2 Tbsp) , and Caster Sugar (1/2 cup) until combined.
Step 3
Once it is nicely combined, drizzle in Whipping Cream (3/4 cup) and whip till soft peaks.
Step 4
Stir in gelatin mixture and whip until it is well mixed. Set aside.
Step 5
Cut Ladyfingers (12) the desired length if needed.
Step 6
In a shallow pan, add Water (1 cup) , and Matcha Powder (1 Tbsp) .
Step 7
Add in Rum (2 Tbsp) , and stir to combine.
Step 8
Soak ladyfinger into the pan well, transfer into your container for the first layer.
Step 9
Portion out a quarter of the cream into the container.
Step 10
Layer them by repeating the steps until you finished them.
Step 11
Dust on top with additional matcha powder before serving. Let it cool in the fridge at least overnight to set. Enjoy!
