Peel and devein the
Medium Shrimp (20)
To begin, in a medium saucepan bring
Water (4 cups)
to a boil. Slowly add in
Quick Cooking Grits (1 cup)
while whisking continuously. Over medium heat, cook grits for about 4 to 5 minutes until they thicken up.
Salt (1 tsp)
Ground Black Pepper (1/2 tsp)
Butter (1 Tbsp)
Parmesan Cheese (1/4 cup)
1% Low Fat Milk (1/4 cup)
. Turn the heat to low until you are ready to serve.
Garlic (2 cloves)
Extra-Virgin Olive Oil (1 Tbsp)
to a medium skillet. Over medium heat add in shrimp and cook until translucent and tender about 3 to 4 minutes.
White Cooking Wine (1 1/2 Tbsp)
, Minced Garlic and
Cayenne Pepper (1/4 tsp)
to the shrimp and cook for an additional minute, then turn off the heat.
Squeeze juice from
Lemons (1 1/2 Tbsp)
Take shrimp off the heat and stir in Lemon Juice and
Butter (1/2 Tbsp)
. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Fresh Chives (1 Tbsp)
To serve place grits in individual bowls and top with shrimp mixture. You can always serve family style too in a large platter. Drizzle each bowl/or platter with the extra sauce. Garnish with chives.
